We Have to Be Prepared

Here is a photo of him - he is the front pallbearer - at Bishop Gowing ...When one of my friends died and I was asked to be a pall bearer, I of course said yes. I was having a pretty hard time with all of it because he was only 30 years old and appeared to be as healthy as any of us. He was out jogging one morning and had a heart attack and by the time someone came upon him, it was too late to save him. This got my other friends and I talking because we knew that his wife and two daughters were going to have a hard time with not just his death but with finances too. He did not have life insurance so even paying for the funeral was going to be a hardship. Within a few days of his funeral, my wife and I sat down and compared some life insurance quotes so we could find the best policy for both of us. We hope that we won’t have to use it for quite some time, but this taught us that we need to be prepared for anything.
